Go to almost any marketing agency's website and try to find a price. You won't. You'll find "Request a quote", "Book a discovery call", "Let's chat about your needs" — anything except a number.
We do it differently: our prices are on our website. Here's why that's not just a quirk.
Why agencies hide pricing
There are a few honest reasons, and none of them are in your favour.
The price isn't fixed. If pricing is hidden, the agency can quote different numbers to different clients for the same work — based on how big your business looks, how urgently you need it, or how much they think you'll pay. A published price can't flex like that.
They want you on a call first. It's much harder to say no to a number once you've spent 45 minutes building rapport with a salesperson. Hidden pricing exists partly to get you into that conversation before you ever see a figure.
It stops you comparing. If three agencies all hide their prices, you can't line them up side by side. You have to run the gauntlet of three sales calls just to compare — and most people give up and just pick one.
What hidden pricing costs you
Time, first — hours of calls just to find out if someone's even in your budget. But also money: when the price depends on what you "look like you can afford," sounding busy or successful can quietly cost you. And it costs you confidence — you never quite know if you got a fair number or just the number they thought you'd accept.
So here's ours
NABA's prices are published, in full, on our pricing page. Websites are $1,500, $3,000 or $5,000 — one-off, fixed. Retainers for SEO, content and ads start at a few hundred dollars a month. Bundle the lot and it's $1,150 a month. Everything is ex-GST, there are no setup fees, and there's no lock-in. You can read all of it without speaking to a soul.
What transparent pricing tells you
When a business publishes its prices, it's telling you a few things without saying them: the price is the same for everyone, it's not negotiable based on how you come across, and they're confident enough in it to let it sit in public.
We think that's the baseline a small business owner deserves — not a privilege you unlock by surviving a sales call. If a price is fair, there's no reason to hide it. And if it needs hiding, that tells you something too.
You can see every NABA price on our site right now. No call required — though we're happy to have one if you'd like.
